Healthcare for Neukölln

The H4N day clinic in Neukölln is a pioneer of timber construction in the health care sector. The concept is based on the principles of Healing Architecture, in which the physical and mental well-being of patients, staff and relatives is central. In addition to healthy and natural building materials, this project aims to maximise the amount of daylight entering the room by optimising the floor plan. Therefore we arranged the patient rooms along the facade and maximised the supply of daylight in the depth of the building by means of a large, light-flooded atrium and four smaller green courtyards.
